My Stepdaughter Stole My Food to Feed Her Kids, I Don’t Want Her in My House Anymore

I’m 36, married to Joey (44) for 3 years. We have a blended family—my three kids and his three, including a 20-year-old daughter who lives with us rent-free with her two kids.
The last eight months have been devastating. I lost both my parents, took on funeral costs and debt, and now I’m struggling financially—barely getting by and relying on food banks.
Yesterday, I woke up to find my stepdaughter cooking the last of our food—the meat and rice I had set aside for dinner—for her kids. When I asked, she shrugged and said they were hungry. I told her my kids were too and that was all we had left, but she ignored me.
I snapped and told her to leave. My husband took her side, saying his grandkids could eat whatever they wanted in “his” house. I told him then they could all leave.
The next day, they were gone—my stepdaughter, her kids, and my husband. He’s now staying with relatives and says I traumatized his grandkids and wants a divorce.
I’m angry, hurt, and confused. I know I reacted strongly, but I don’t know if I was wrong.
