I froze when I heard her voice. I expected anger, insults, maybe even threats. Instead, she sounded calm—too calm. She said she had known about me for weeks. She knew about the dates, the messages… even the pregnancy.
Then she said something I never expected.
“I’m not calling to fight,” she told me. “I’m calling to offer you a deal.”
My heart started racing. What kind of wife says that?
She explained that their marriage had been broken for years. They stayed together only for their children and reputation. Divorce, she said, would destroy everything they had built.
Then came the part that shook me.
She wanted me to keep the baby… but stay silent. No drama, no public exposure. In return, she promised financial support, a house, and security for my child. But there was one condition: I could never reveal the truth about the father.
I didn’t know what to say. The man I thought was ready to leave his wife suddenly felt like a stranger. And now his wife was offering me a life built on secrecy.
