A 911 operator answered a call and heard the nervous voice of a young boy.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy name is Ryan,\u201d he whispered. \u201cCould you please help me with math?\u201d<\/p>\n
The operator gently explained that emergency services couldn\u2019t help with homework. But Ryan immediately begged her not to hang up.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mom said 911 helps people,\u201d he said. \u201cPlease help me with this.\u201d<\/p>\n
Something in his voice felt wrong.<\/p>\n
The operator asked Ryan to hand the phone to his mother.<\/p>\n
