I was wrong.<\/p>\n
The hardest part was realizing my husband, Derek, had no idea how much I did every day.<\/p>\n
Even with my arm in a cast, he came home asking what was for dinner.<\/p>\n
When I asked him to help with the babies, he said, \u201cI worked all day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then came the sentence I couldn\u2019t forget:<\/p>\n
\u201cYou stay home and do nothing all day.\u201d<\/p>\n
I made a simple list of things I physically couldn\u2019t do safely\u2014baths, carrying the twins upstairs, evening bottles, and one nighttime waking.<\/p>\n
