Startled, I followed him to the bathroom. He gently asked me to look in the mirror. When I turned around, my stomach dropped\u2014my entire back was streaked with bright blue paint. I panicked for half a second before he calmly explained that one of the older slides had been freshly marked for safety, and I\u2019d brushed against it. The paint wasn\u2019t dangerous, just shocking to see. He\u2019d noticed and didn\u2019t want me walking around embarrassed.<\/p>\n
As I washed it off, relief hit me\u2014but so did something else. Gratitude. This stranger, in a noisy, crowded park, paid enough attention to notice something was wrong and helped me quietly.<\/p>\n
