A man is sitting on his porch when he notices two blondes working down the road. They both have shovels. One of the blondes digs a hole, and the other immediately fills it in.<\/p>\n

The man watches them for a few hours and finally approaches them, \u201cYou guys look like you\u2019re working hard.<\/p>\n

But I\u2019m not sure what you\u2019re trying to accomplish.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the blondes replies, \u201cWell, there\u2019s usually three of us, but the one that plants the trees is sick.\u201d

A young private sought permission from his Commanding Officer to leave camp the following weekend. \u201cYou see,\u201d he explained, \u201cmy wife`s expecting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh\u2026\u201d said the Officer, \u201cI understand.<\/p>\n

Go ahead and tell your wife that I wish her luck.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following week the same soldier was back again with the same explanation: \u201cMy wife`s expecting.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Officer looked surprised.<\/p>\n

\u201cStill expecting?\u201d he said, \u201cWell, well, my boy, you must be pretty bothered. Of course you can have the week-end off.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the same soldier appeared again the third week, however, the Officer lost his temper. \u201cDon`t tell me your wife is still expecting!\u201d he bellowed.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes sir!\u201d said the soldier resolutely, \u201cShe`s still expecting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat in heaven is she expecting?\u201d cried the Officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe.\u201d said the soldier simply. =================================<\/p>\n

It was early morning at the military base, and the first sergeant was calling out names for the daily work parties listed on a piece of paper:<\/p>\n

\u201cAmes\u201d \u201cHere!\u201d \u201cJenson\u201d \u201cHere!\u201d \u201cJones\u201d \u201cHere!\u201d \u201cMagersky\u201d \u201cHere!\u201d \u201cSeeback\u201d<\/p>\n

No answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeback!\u201d<\/p>\n

No answer was heard again. \u201cSEEBACK!!!\u201d The troops remained totally silent.<\/p>\n

At that point, someone whispered into the first sergeant\u2019s ear.<\/p>\n
