A lady goes into a pet store one day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell,\u201d replies the clerk, \u201chow about this nice parrot? He\u2019ll talk to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, that\u2019s great,\u201d says the lady. She buys the parrot and takes him home.<\/p>\n

The next day, the lady comes back to the store, clearly upset.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat parrot you sold me doesn\u2019t say a word,\u201d she complains.<\/p>\n

The clerk thinks for a moment and asks, \u201cDid you buy the mirror? Parrots like to look at themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

So she buys the mirror and goes home.<\/p>\n

A few days later, the lady returns\u2014but this time she\u2019s smiling sadly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanted to let you know,\u201d she says, \u201cthe parrot died.\u201d<\/p>\n
