Being a single dad to three-year-old twins, Bella and Lily, hasn\u2019t been easy. Their mother left when they were babies, saying she wasn\u2019t \u201ccut out\u201d for motherhood. Since then, I\u2019ve been raising them alone while working remote IT jobs and barely keeping life together.<\/p>\n

Then everything went wrong at once. Daycare suddenly closed, my salary was cut by 20%, my mom needed heart surgery, rent increased, and finally\u2014my washing machine broke. With toddlers, laundry is nonstop, and washing clothes by hand left my hands cracked and bleeding.<\/p>\n

Desperate, I bought a $120 secondhand washing machine from a thrift shop. While I was there, an older woman with kind eyes noticed the twins and gently encouraged me, even suggesting the washer I eventually bought.<\/p>\n

When I got home, the machine wouldn\u2019t spin. Inside the drum, I found a small box with a note: \u201cFor you and your children \u2014 M.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inside were house keys and an address.<\/p>\n

The next day, curiosity led me to the location\u2014a small furnished house on the outskirts of town. Another note waited inside explaining that the home had belonged to the woman\u2019s sister, who had always wanted children. Now she wanted the house filled with life.<\/p>\n

Later I found the woman again. Her name was Margaret. She told me a stranger once saved her life with the same kindness.<\/p>\n
