For 52 years of marriage, my wife kept our attic locked. Whenever I asked about it, she said it was just junk from her parents\u2019 house. I trusted her. After all those years together, I never imagined there was anything more to it.<\/p>\n

Two weeks ago, my wife slipped in the kitchen and broke her hip. While she was recovering in a care facility, I stayed home alone. That\u2019s when I started hearing strange scratching sounds coming from the attic at night.<\/p>\n
