When I was about eight, I casually asked my dad if we could play \u201cthe naked man game.\u201d<\/p>\n

He immediately froze\u2014but trying to stay calm, he asked, \u201cWhat game is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

I replied, completely innocent, \u201cIt\u2019s the one we play when the babysitter is over.\u201d<\/p>\n

At that point, he told me later, his mind was racing and his heart was pounding. Instead of panicking, he carefully asked me to show him what I meant.<\/p>\n

So I led him straight to the closet, opened the door, and pointed up to a box on the shelf.<\/p>\n

It was just the board game Operation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

You know\u2014the one with the little plastic guy you remove parts from.<\/p>\n

My dad said in that moment, the wave of relief hit him so hard he almost collapsed. One second he thought something was seriously wrong\u2026 and the next, it was just a misunderstanding from an eight-year-old with a very creative name for a game.<\/p>\n

He told me years later that he had nearly had a heart attack.<\/p>\n

Looking back now, it\u2019s hilarious\u2014but I can only imagine the absolute panic he felt in those few seconds before realizing the truth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
