My stepdaughter (24) lost her job and can\u2019t afford rent, so she asked to move back in with her baby, offering $200 a month. I refused. I told her this isn\u2019t affordable housing, and I didn\u2019t spend my life working just to live in noise and chaos at this stage.<\/p>\n

I value peace and stability, and I believe she\u2019s an adult who needs to face her struggles without relying on us financially.<\/p>\n

My husband said nothing that night, just smiled at her and avoided me. The next day, I came home to find his suitcase packed. He told me he had rented a place for his daughter and her baby\u2014and he was moving in with them.<\/p>\n

Then he gave me two weeks to leave.<\/p>\n
