I got pregnant, gave birth to a beautiful daughter, and somewhere in the chaos of sleepless nights and tiny fingers wrapped around mine, I thought life had finally settled into place.<\/p>\n

When my significant other came over that evening, he looked nervous\u2014but happy. Then he got down on one knee. My heart nearly stopped. This was it. Despite everything, I was ready. Ready to believe in us, in a future, in a family that felt whole.<\/p>\n

I was already prepared to say yes.<\/p>\n
