This is just a courtesy because I knew your brother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"386\">Just like that, everything shifted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"662\">I still had eight hours of interviews ahead of me. Eight hours of forced conversations, polite smiles, and pretending this wasn\u2019t a complete waste of my time and money. It was uncomfortable, frustrating, and honestly humiliating\u2014but I stayed professional and saw it through.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"755\">Weeks later, after they couldn\u2019t find anyone else, they reached out and offered me the job.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"786\">This time, I didn\u2019t hesitate.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"808\">I politely declined.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"967\">Because respect matters.
