\u201cShe said if I don\u2019t call her Mommy, I won\u2019t get dessert,\u201d my daughter whispered. \u201cAnd she\u2019ll tell you I was bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

My heart sank. Soon, more disturbing truths came out. Her grandmother told her I wasn\u2019t a good father, that I hadn\u2019t loved her mother enough, and that she should live with Grandma if she wanted to feel \u201cmore loved.\u201d<\/p>\n
