I took 2 days off last week due to a family emergency. Monday, when I got back, my boss demanded I skip lunch breaks for a week.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cMake up for the lost hours. This isn\u2019t a charity!\u201d<\/p>\n

I quit.<\/p>\n

Hours later, everyone went pale as they discovered I\u2019d been\u2026 the only one who knew how to run the system that kept everything moving.<\/p>\n

See, for the past year, I wasn\u2019t just doing my job\u2014I\u2019d quietly taken over responsibilities no one else wanted. I managed the backend tools, fixed recurring bugs, and kept a fragile workflow from collapsing. There was no proper documentation because every time I asked for time to create it, I was told to \u201cfocus on output.\u201d<\/p>\n
