For years, Mason spent his evenings sitting on a worn bench near a rundown bus stop, quietly solving math problems in an old notebook. Most people ignored him \u2014 until one shy boy named Lucas stopped to watch. The boy struggled with fractions, had worn-out shoes, and looked like life had already disappointed him too many times.<\/p>\n

Mason began teaching Lucas every evening, patiently explaining math with circles drawn in the dirt, bottle caps, and scraps of paper. More importantly, he gave the boy something nobody else had: belief in himself. Whenever Lucas doubted his intelligence, Mason reminded him, \u201cYou\u2019re smarter than you think. Don\u2019t let anyone tell you otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n
