A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A pretty young student nurse arrives to give him a partial sponge bath.<\/p>\n
\u201cNurse,\u201d he mumbles from behind the mask, \u201care my privates black?\u201d<\/p>\n
Caught completely off guard, the embarrassed nurse blushes but decides to reassure him. She carefully lifts the sheet, takes a quick glance, and smiles politely.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, sir,\u201d she says. \u201cEverything looks perfectly normal.\u201d<\/p>\n
A few minutes later, the old man asks again.<\/p>\n
\u201cAre you absolutely sure they’re not black?\u201d<\/p>\n
Trying to calm his worries, she checks a second time and replies, \u201cI’m positive, sir. There’s nothing unusual at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Still looking concerned, the patient slowly removes the oxygen mask just enough to speak more clearly.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy hearing isn’t what it used to be,\u201d he says. \u201cThe doctor came in this morning and told me, ‘Your operation is scheduled after your blood work because you have to be B positive.’<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n The nurse nods.<\/p>\n The old man sighs and says, \u201cWell… through this mask, I could’ve sworn he said, ‘Your privates will be black.’<\/em> I’ve been worried sick ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n The nurse can’t hold it in anymore and bursts into laughter.
