I Broke My Arm and Leg Before My Dad Married My Mom’s Sister – They Still Made Me Plan the Wedding… So Grandma Showed Up and Dropped a ‘Gift’ That Made Them Scream

After my mom died, my dad moved her sister, Amanda, into our home — and my life became a nightmare.
At first, she pretended to be kind. When Dad was around, she smiled and asked about my classes. The moment he left the room, she turned cruel. She called me lazy, useless, and even insulted my mother. When I tried to tell my father, he didn’t believe me.
Then Amanda got engaged.
One snowy afternoon, she sent me out to pick up wedding gifts. My arms were full of heavy packages when I slipped on ice and crashed hard. I woke up in the hospital with a broken arm and leg.
When Amanda leaned over my bed, she sneered, “Don’t think this gets you out of planning my wedding. Stop being useless.”
At home, Dad only said, “You should’ve been more careful.”
That night, I called my grandmother in tears. She told me to hold on — and promised she was coming.
A week later, the doorbell rang. Grandma arrived with a giant box. When it hit the floor, balloons, streamers, and three clowns spilled out.
“My gift,” Grandma said calmly, “for the circus you’ve turned this family into.”
Then she told my father to listen.
I told him everything.
Grandma gave him a choice: believe Amanda — or believe his daughter.
My father looked at me and said, “The wedding is off.”
For the first time since my mom died, I finally felt safe again.
