My Ex’s New Wife Found My Facebook Account to Ask Me One Question – I Was Baffled When I Read It

I thought my life with my ex-husband, Elliot, was long behind me—until one night I got a message request from a woman I didn’t know. The moment I saw her last name, my stomach dropped.

She was Elliot’s new wife.

She politely explained that Elliot wanted her to ask me one question: whether our divorce had been “mutual and kind” because he needed confirmation for court. That instantly felt suspicious. Why would my ex need me to put our divorce story in writing unless something bigger was happening?

Then a horrible thought hit me—what if Elliot had lied to me for years?

During our entire marriage, Elliot claimed he was infertile. We divorced largely because we couldn’t have children. But after digging into public court records, I discovered something shocking:

Elliot had a four-year-old daughter.

That meant while I was going through fertility treatments believing I was the problem, he had secretly fathered a child with another woman during our marriage.

I confronted him, and he admitted he wanted me to lie for him in court to help his custody case. Instead, I met his new wife and told her the truth.

Weeks later, I was subpoenaed.

In court, I testified that Elliot had asked me to lie and that our divorce was not mutual or kind. I also revealed he had faked infertility while cheating and fathering another child behind my back. The courtroom was stunned.

The judge ruled against Elliot.

Outside court, his new wife stopped me and whispered:

“If you hadn’t told the truth, he would have won. I’m divorcing him.”

Sometimes the truth doesn’t just set you free—it saves other people too.
