The hospital where my father and I work never truly slows down. He’s a nurse known for his calm presence during emergencies, while I work in social services, helping patients and families cope with the emotional side of illness. Even though we’re in different departments, we often cross paths in the hallways, and it’s always comforting to know family is nearby during long, exhausting shifts.

One afternoon, after a particularly demanding morning, we met in the corridor and shared a quick hug—just a simple moment of encouragement between father and daughter.
