Sad News About George W. Bush

Former President George W. Bush threw the ceremonial first pitch at the World Series but it tailed off sharply. His daughter Jenna Bush Hager later revealed the reason: he’d had lower-back fusion surgery earlier in the year.

She expressed concern that the throw may have aggravated it, while praising her father’s toughness for not making excuses.

A spokesperson confirmed: “President Bush isn’t one to make excuses, but that’s true — he did have fusion surgery on his lower back early this year,” adding that he is recovering well.

Despite the health setback, Bush’s determination to take the mound showed his trademark resilience and commitment.
