Late at Night, My Smart Scale Alerted Me That a 115-Lb ‘Guest’ Had Weighed In While I Was at My Best Friend’s Bachelorette Party – I Rushed Home to Confront My Husband and Was Left Speechless

At 11:42 p.m., while I was at my best friend’s bachelorette party, my phone buzzed with a smart scale alert: a 115-pound “guest” had just stepped on the scale in my bathroom.
My husband, Jack, was home with our two kids. The weight matched none of them.
At first, my friends joked about “skinny ghosts,” but something felt wrong. I texted Jack. He said the kids were asleep and he was watching TV.
When I got home, the house was silent.
The porch light was off. The TV wasn’t on. Worst of all, the kids’ jackets were gone.
Then I heard voices upstairs.
I rushed into my bedroom and found a barefoot woman with damp hair wearing my robe. Jack sat on the bed and claimed she was his cousin, Nina, just passing through for the night.
I asked the only question that mattered: “Where are the kids?”
He said they were at his mother’s house. So I called her.
She answered—and had no idea who “Nina” was.
Then my son’s voice came through in the background: “Daddy said his friend could only visit if nobody else was home.”
That was it.
The woman admitted they’d met on a dating app and that Jack told her he was separated.
I told them both to leave.
That night, I lost my husband—but I found the truth.
