MY DIL THOUGHT SHE COULD SCARE ME OUT OF MY OWN HOME

I’m 68 and have lived in this house for over 40 years. Every corner holds memories of my late husband, my children growing up, and the life we built together. But lately, my daughter-in-law kept insisting I was “too old” to live here alone.

Then one afternoon, she bluntly told me I should sell the house so she and my son could buy their “dream home.” I refused immediately. This house is mine, fully paid for, and I had no intention of giving it up.

She smiled coldly and whispered, “You’ll regret this.”

That night, around 2 a.m., I woke to strange scratching noises outside my bedroom window. My heart nearly stopped when I pulled back the curtain and saw my DIL standing in the yard wearing dark clothes, staring straight at me.

At first, I thought I was imagining things. But then she started tapping on the glass and laughing softly. I was terrified. I locked myself in the bathroom and called my son.

When he arrived, she tried to claim she was “just checking on me,” but the security camera footage told a different story. She had been sneaking around my property for nearly an hour.

My son was horrified. The next morning, he apologized in tears and told her to leave. And for the first time in months, I finally felt safe in my own home again.
